Birth

Hank Williams was born the 17th September 1923 in Mount Olive West AL in Butler County. His parents lived by then in a log cabin. Hanks father worked for the local lumbercompany. The house was called 'the Kendrick place' because originally it had been built by the Kendrick-family.

Hank had already a sister named Irene and born on the 8th of August 1922. Less known is the fact that some years before already a son had been born: Earnest Huble Williams. This baby was born on the 5th of July in 1921 but died 2 days after his birth because of digestion problems. 

The certificate of birth is written 10,5 years later after his birth on the 1st of March in 1934. the reason for this delay is the fact that the family moves from time to time in Butler County. Lon Williams, Hank's father, stays more and more in the veteranhospital. Eventually Lillie moves with her children to Georgiana when she has enough money.
